Bill Blaney joins Sovereign Systems after more than a decade at CareerBuilder
January 6, 2017 – Sovereign Systems announced that Bill Blaney has joined the company as a Solutions Architect for the Service Management Practice. Blaney will provide direct customer consulting and design as well as deliver technical solutions to customers on the ServiceNow platform.

Blaney was previously with CareerBuilder for more than ten years in a variety of IT roles. Most recently, he focused on ServiceNow implementation, application ownership, administration, architecture and development.
The scope of his work included ServiceNow’s core ITSM features and the development of integrations and applications for the improvement of:
- Employee onboarding
- Hardware procurement
- Asset management
- External application monitoring (in the areas of telephony and identity and access management)
- Employee recognition
- IoT event handling
He also focused on Okta (an identity and access management SaaS solution) implementation, application ownership, administration and architecture.
Prior to his role specializing in ServiceNow, Blaney was in IT (custom systems development) management.
Before joining CareerBuilder, he had more than ten years of experience in programming, analysis, design, architecture and leadership in the logistics and healthcare software industries.
Blaney is a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and holds a SAIF (ServiceNow Adaptive Implementation Framework) certificate. He holds a master’s degree in Information Systems from Georgia State University and graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in BBA in Computer Information Systems.
