New team members include Bill Cypert as VP of Service Management and Chase Long as Solutions Architect
October 11, 2018 – Sovereign Systems announced today the expansion of the Service Management Practice with two key hires to an already impressive team which has garnered Partner of the Year awards from heavy weights such as VMware, Puppet and EMC.
“Service Management is a key focus area for our customers and the growth of our Service Management Practice this year has been tremendous,” said Scott Taylor, General Manager, Technical Services. “We’re excited to add two talented individuals to our team. Bill is the right leader at the right time to help our customers solve real business issues and Chase brings significant integration capabilities that will allow Sovereign to continue to enhance our customer’s ServiceNow experience.”
Bill Cypert, Vice President of Service Management
Cypert brings proven experience progressing in leadership over the last 20 years at three silicon valley unicorns: Service Now (NOW), VMware (VMW) and cable internet inventors At Home (ATHM). Engaging organizations in systematic innovation, digital transformation, DevOps and machine learning are core to his strengths.
Cypert has worked with hundreds of ServiceNow & VMware customers and spoken at Knowledge 16 & 17, VMWorld US & EU, Multiple NowForums and User Groups (SNUGs). This has led him to purpose build solutions that will have an immediate positive impact on organizations.

Chase Long, Solutions Architect
Long will provide direct customer consulting and design as well as deliver technical solutions to customers on the ServiceNow platform.
Long was previously with Infinity Insurance where he worked as a ServiceNow architect for three years supporting and developing solutions for ServiceNow’s ITSM, ITOM, ITBM and Facilities modules. His work also included:
- Service Portal Design
- Workday Integration
- ADFS Integration for Single Sign On
- Asset Management
- Jenkins Deployment Integration
Prior to his role at Infinity Insurance, Long worked in IT (private cloud and outsourced IT) management. He had five years of experience architecting and supporting ITSM solutions for small and mid-sized businesses across a variety of industries including legal, healthcare, and insurance.
Long is a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and a ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for Discovery.
